1995년 설립된 마리오 루이즈 디자인 스튜디오(Mario Ruiz Design Studio)는 가구, 조명, 사무실 프로젝트뿐 아니라 공산품을 디자인하고 개발하는 데 초점을 맞춘다. 바르셀로나의 엘리사바 대학교에서 디자인공학을 전공한 마리오 루이즈의 작품은 '눈에 띄지 않는 단순함'을 추구한다. 실용성을 강조하는 디자인 철학은 모든 작업의 출발점이다. 알플렉스(Arflex), 익스포밈(Expormim), 스틸케이스(Steelcase), 테크니온(Teknion) 등의 브랜드와 협업해온 그는 월페이퍼 어워즈(Wallpaper Awards), 레드닷(Red Dot), IF 등 유럽과 미국에서 50여 개 이상의 상을 받았다. 2016년에는 스페인 국왕 펠리페 6세와 경제부가 수여하는 국가 디자인상을 수상하는 영광을 거머쥐었다.

Dining armchair providing different Mario Ruiz, 2015/2021 solutions for both the backrest and the legs. Backrest comes in natural rattan or steel tube covered with cold-cured moulded polyurethane foam and upholstery. Legs are made of rattan, wood or metal. All versions include upholstered seat.

Family of stools that includes 2 lines. A stool with a liftable piston. The basic piece of the leg embraces the column and gives uniqueness to the product. Rod option is also available. Both options are sized to generate a harmonious set between base and seat. It has a markedly symmetrical character, since all its curves are balanced on both axes.
