"우리는 개인의 연상, 인식 및 경험을 위한 여지를 남기고 기능과 미학 사이의 균형을 추구한다." Vera & Kyte는 디자이너 베라 클레페(Vera Kleppe)와 오실드카이트(Åshild Kyte)로 구성된 노르웨이 디자인 스튜디오다. 두 사람은 베르겐대학교에서 디자인 석사 학위를 취득한 뒤 2013년 스튜디오를 설립하고 가구, 오브제, 조명, 공간, 디자인 등 다양한 분야에 걸친 작업을 이어오고 있다. 장난스러운 호기심과 분석적 접근 방식을 결합해 고객과 긴밀히 협력하고, 정직과 낙관이 묻어나는 진실한 디자인을 추구한다.

Wildlife collection is designed to spark curiosity and the kids sense of wonder. The design presents a balance between playfulness and elegance with its complex motives and a rich color palette.

The humble frog rests partly hidden in the leaves. Each spring a single frog may lay up to 4,000 small eggs in small freshwater ponds or quiet streams. The many green shades in the mat harmonize and creates a vivid but also calm palette.

헤이매트를 위해 디자인한 와일드라이프 컬렉션은 아이들의 호기심과 탄성을 유발하기 위해 고안됐다. 노르웨이 동물상에서 영감을 받은 작은 청새치와 자연 서식지에 있는 겸손한 개구리, 수줍은 스라소니를 묘사했다. 러그는 풍부한 색상의 팔레트로 장난기와 우아함 사이의 균형을 보여준다.

The shy lynx hides under a branch. Is she hunting in the dusk? Ready to attack? The lynx is the largest and only wild cat in the Nordics. It is very shy and rarely seen. The warm palette represents the glow from autumn leaves in the Nordic sunset and ranges from red to orange, plum, gold and beige.

Løype, Norwegian for 'trail', is decorated with a simple pattern resembling the fresh trails of cross-country skiing. The pattern is a subtle play with stripes, and the result is both classic and modern at the same time. Inspired by traditional wicker techniques, Strand consists of two storage baskets in lacquered aluminium. The familiar aesthetics of the objects, combined with the strength and precision of the aluminium, gives shape to a modern interpretation of a classic household object.

The Dis collection has been inspired by the soft colours of the landscape in the morning haze ('dis' in Norwegian). In refl ecting the natural hues of the landscape, Dis showcases a rich colour palette at your feet, fading to lighter shades in the distance. The colours are continually changing in a broad scale that improves the mat’s natural ability to get rid of grit and dirt. The mat quite simply makes everyday life easier.
