Lanzavecchia+Wai는 이탈리아의 프란체스카 란자베키아(Francesca Lanzavecchia)와 싱가포르 출신의 훈 와이(Hunn Wai)가 2010년 공동 설립한 스튜디오다. 두 디자이너는 각자의 모국 문화에서 기인한 경험을 바탕으로 연구자, 엔지니어, 공예가, 스토리텔러 등 다양한 역할을 수행하고 있다. 네덜란드 아인트호벤의 디자인 아카데미에서 만나 디자인 석사학위를 취득한 이들은 창의적인 협업을 통해 서로의 지식과 기술을 공유하며, 수평적 사고와 민첩한 유형의 응용을 촉진하고자 노력하고 있다.

PIUMA
for MYYOUR
편안함은 피오마 아웃도어 라인 개발의 핵심 요소다. 견고한 알루미늄 구조가 커버를 가볍게 공중에 띄우며, 모든 등받이와 팔걸이는 조절이 가능해 최상의 착좌감을 제공한다. 폴리우레탄 커버를 덮는 멜란지 원단은 특별한 텍스처 효과를 유지하면서 장시간 실외 노출을 견딜 수 있게 설계되었다.

What could be better than curling up on a sofa at the end of the day or when we want to take a relaxing break? Comfort is the key element around which has been developed the new PIUMA outdoor upholstery line. Sofa and armchair light up the emotion of a soft embrace and bring it outdoors.

NEBULA ARMCHAIR

구름의 푹신함을 연상시키는 네뷸라 암체어는 란자베키아+와이가 고집하는 경쾌함, 편안함, 포괄성 등 디자인에 대한 접근 방식을 완벽하게 설명한다. 친밀함을 수용하는 동시에 사회적인 목적을 수행하는 조절식 등받이는 볼록 버전과 오목 버전 두 가지로 구성된다.

The adjustable backrest of the Nebula armchair provides two contrasting yet matching solutions, respectively a convex and a concave version: the first serves a social purpose, while the second embraces cosiness and intimacy. This emotional undertone recalls the fluffiness of a cloud, as the name suggests.

Hermès this year invited us to design their autumn season’s shopping window display for 11 boutiques of their Travel Network located in North America and France. Welcome to “Astonishing Lines: Drawings Come to Life” a celebration of creativity and art inspired by Hermes theme of the year “Astonishment” and the profound words of Pierre Alexis Dumas: “astonishment is the starting point of creation.” This concept is a testament to the power of imagination and seeks to captivate audiences by bringing paintings to life, using the line as the foundation of artistic expression.

ASTONISHING LINES: DRAWINGS COME TO LIFE FOR HERMÈS TRAVEL RETAIL

란자베키아+와이가 북미와 프랑스에 위치한 에르메스 트래블 네트워크의 11개 부티크를 대상으로 2023 Autumn 시즌 윈도우 디스플레이를 디자인했다. '놀라운 선: 그림이 살아나다' 프로젝트는 "놀라운 것이 창조의 출발점이다"라는 에르메스의 주제와 피에르 알렉시 뒤마(Pierre Alexis Dumas)의 심오한 말에서 영감받았다. 상상력의 힘을 증명하는 개념을 토대로 그림에 생동감을 불어넣어 관객을 사로잡고자 한다.

PEBBLE
for Living Divani
페블은 돌의 감촉과 유기적인 형태를 모티프 한 책상 및 테이블이다. 독특한 구조물이 불규칙한 모양의 거울로 덮인 벨브 표면을 지지하며, 하단의 가죽 커버 디테일이 초현실주의적인 무드를 자아낸다. 상판은 가죽, 대리석, 미러 글라스의 세 가지 다른 요소로 제공된다.

Pebble is a desk/vanity table inspired by the materiality and organic form of stones. A structure characterized by the graphism of forms supports the bevelled surface, surmounted by an irregularly shaped mirror. The table top is available in three different materials: leather, marble and mirror glass.

The final aim of this project is showing the feminine and elegant soul of metal. Like essential and soft lines drawn by a paintbrush, these shapes create a sort of dance and suddenly turn into table tops ready to be used for elegant and vibrant compositions.

We have taken the nest-void created by a woodpecker to turn it into a hyper comfortable home; A house identical to the one carved by the woodpecker in the tree trunk, but made of a flexible rubber. The organic silicon rubber house is framed by a cloche-vitrine that is filled with seeds thus becoming the pantry of the house itself.

핀치는 4가지 형태의 거울로 구성된 컬렉션이다. 볼트로 벽에 고정한 이미지를 보는 듯 예상치 못한 움직임과 탄력 있는 긴장감을 만들어 낸다. 놀라운 그래픽 플레이를 생성할 수 있는 핀치 거울은 표현력이 뛰어나 모든 인테리어 환경에 생동감을 선사한다.

This family of four Pinch mirrors are extremely expressive and suitable for any environment due to the different formats that allow the creation of fascinating compositions and graphical play.

거대하고 장난스러운 동물 도자기 컬렉션. 어린 시절을 회상하게 만드는 디즈니 풍의 조각들은 동물의 본성을 주제로 하며 일상에서 자연에 대한 성찰을 불러일으키는 작품이다. 여우, 너구리 등 귀엽고 친근한 동물 이미지와 재미있는 패턴의 조화가 사랑스럽다.

꽃은 무(無)에서 싹을 틔우고, 태양이 하늘을 가로지르는 여정에 맞춰 정오에 만개한다. 리빙 베이스는 784개의 메탈릭 핑크색 꽃이 4,704개의 꽃잎을 디지털 바람에 흩뿌린다. 꽃잎이 해체된 후 꽃병은 더 이상 존재하지 않으며, 아득한 사막 풍경 위로 태양이 다시 떠오를 때 재생성된다.

COLOMYCHUS CHERNOBILIS
With the Colomychus Chernobilis, carpet hand-knotted in Nepal made in wool and bamboo silk, we pays tribute to the land tormented by the first nuclear disaster, Ukraine, today the scene of a bloody war. Ten years after the presentation of the first rug of their Mutations 1.0 collection, we imagine ourselves as entomologists in the Radioactive Red Forest, documenting the genetic mutations of its inhabitants.

Hanging lamp, made of sintered polymer, takes cues from its growth-like method of manufacture – 3D-printing – is an industrial product designed as a living organism, albeit belonging to the Plantae rather than the Animalia. Fed by its web of veins, it sprouts and grows from the light source.

VELENI
for Particle, 2022
벨레니는 무라노 유리 공예 장인이 만든 12개의 유리 조각 모음이다. 미세플라스틱, 알약, 세제 등 아름답지만 독이되는 캡슐을 유리관, 즉 밀폐된 공간에 격리해 투명하게 드러내는 작품이다.
The pollutants, isolated in the glass, react to the movements of the objects and their colours are attractive: they create a playful yet deceptive interaction with the audience as soon as it becomes clear that those coloured substances are toxic.

네나 스툴은 편안한 식사를 즐기는 동안 오래 머물 수 있도록 설계됐다. 프레임은 테이퍼 튜브형 강철(흑연 및 매트 블랙)로 제작되어 스툴에 가볍고 슬림한 마감을 제공한다. 선형 프레임은 각각 세 가지 다른 방향으로 기울어져 있다.
