모든 작품은 결국 비상(飛上)하기 마련이다. 절대주의와 파괴 불가능한 확신성을 금기하는 마르첼로 질리아니(Marcello Ziliani)는 다른 눈으로 사물을 관찰하고 귀담아듣는 태도를 선호한다. 1963년 이탈리아 북부 도시 브레시아에서 태어난 질리아니는 폴리테크니코 디 밀라노(Politecnico di Milano)에서 건축학을 전공했다. 2011년부터 산마리노대학교 산업디자인학위과정 3학년 제품디자인 워크숍의 강사로 활동하며 가구, 조명, 욕실, 사무실, 오브제 및 유아 산업 디자인을 위한 프로젝트를 개발하는 데 전념해 왔다. 디자인은 물론 전시회, 연극 시나리오, 예술 방향, 디자인 조정, 그래픽과 커뮤니케이션 등 다방면에서 두각을 드러내는 다재다능한 디자이너다.

The Lisa seating collection, consisting of chairs, armchairs, and stools, draws inspiration from the elegance of the interior atmospheres of the 1950s and 1960s. The design of the slender tubular frame that rises to encircle and support the backrest is the defining element of all versions, available with either padded or wooden seats.

알루미늄 프레임과 ABS 스텝을 갖춘 플로(FLÒ)는 가볍고 실용적이며 견고한 접이식 사다리다. 안전 레일의 크로스바를 올리거나 내려서 여닫을 수 있는 구조이며, 사다리를 완전히 닫으면 깔끔하게 정리와 보관이 가능하다. 오렌지와 그레이 무연탄 컬러로 구성됐다.

Snooze is a sound absorbing panel conceived to improve the acoustic quality and enhance comfort in office or public spaces. With a shape recalling the sound diffusers, it is composed by a core of thermoformed polyester fiber in variable densities and thicknesses with a central metal element that beside being a graphic sign allows an easy assembly and disassembly.

빅스(BIX)는 질리아니가 로슈 보부아(Roche Bobois)를 위해 2013년 제작한 모듈러 책장이다. 서로 다른 크기의 개방형 박스가 진열된 책과 오브제를 직관적이며 입체적으로 보여준다. 베니어 MDF, 스틸로 구성된 북케이스는 강렬한 오렌지 컬러와 브라운, 레드&브라운 컬러 등 취향에 따라 선택할 수 있다.

금속으로 만들어진 튜블러 벨스(TUBULAR BELLS) 샹들리에는 재료의 무한한 재활용 가능성과 LED 광원의 사용을 결합한 조명이다. 길고 우아한 손잡이와 3열로 늘어선 티베트 종들의 시퀀스를 나타내는 상징적인 디자인을 지녔다.
Made entirely of metal, the Tubular Bells chandelier combines the infinite recyclability of these materials with the use of LED light sources. Here, images and sounds shape the light: the profile recalls the iconic sacristy bell with its long and elegant handle and the sequences of Tibetan bells lined up in rows of three.

Sometimes the most striking designs will blend in as much as they stand out. Such is the case with the Tilee, a elegant and modern wall light created by Marcello Ziliani in 2005. Its die-cast Zamak body features a chrome finish, and the diffuser is flashed, blown glass in white.
