Following the 2021 completion of Tenjin Business Center(Tenjin I), OMA has completed a second, companion building on the abutting site. Tenjin Business Center II(Tenjin II) is part of an effort beginning with Tenjin I to transform the area into a business hub and start-up incubator. Envisioned formally, programmatically, and materially as a companion to Tenjin I, Tenjin II reflects the office’s changing needs, especially the post-pandemic emphasis on openness, green space, amenities, and supporting new modes of work. Although primarily conceived as independent structures, connections between Tenjin I and II through the secondfloor business lobby and underground passageway allow them to function as an integrated complex.

OMA가 후쿠오카 텐진 지역에 텐진 비즈니스 센터 II(이하 텐진 II)를 완공했다. 2021년 완공된 텐진 비즈니스 센터 I(이하 텐진 I)에 이어 인접 부지에 들어선 두 번째 건물로, 텐진 지역을 비즈니스 허브이자 스타트업 인큐베이터로 조성하는 프로젝트의 일환이다. 텐진 I과 II는 독립된 건물로 계획됐지만 2층 비즈니스 로비와 지하 통로로 연결돼 하나의 복합시설처럼 이용할 수 있다. 이번 프로젝트는 텐진 I과 형식과 프로그램, 재료를 공유하면서도 코로나19 이후 변화한 업무 환경을 반영해 개방성과 녹지, 편의시설을 강화했다.

Two atriums situated at the building’s primary corners extend the public realm into the workplace. A seven-story atrium(The Accelarium) extends the greenery of Fukuoka City Hall Plaza across the street inside and upward, creating a landscape of cascading, lushly planted floors. Layers of organically shaped platforms, seamlessly linked by suspended escalators, shift to open views through the space and out to the city. A smaller, two-story atrium is positioned diagonally across from Tenjin Central Park, providing an additional entry. Wood in varying shades covering escalators, stairs, and ceilings; terrazzo floors; enhance the warm atmosphere. 
 
건물 주요 모서리에는 두 개의 아트리움을 배치해 외부의 공공 공간을 업무 공간 안으로 끌어들였다. 7개 층 높이의 ‘액셀라리움(Accelarium)’은 맞은편 후쿠오카시청 광장의 녹지를 건물 내부와 상부로 확장한 공간으로, 층마다 식재된 녹지가 계단식으로 이어진다. 유기적인 형태의 플랫폼은 매달린 에스컬레이터로 연결되며, 내부에서 도시를 바라볼 수 있도록 개방된 시야를 만든다. 두 번째 아트리움은 2개 층 규모로 텐진 중앙공원과 마주보는 위치에 배치해 추가 출입구와 함께 주변 보행 공간과 녹지를 연결한다. 에스컬레이터와 계단, 천장에는 서로 다른 색조의 목재를 적용하고 테라초 바닥을 사용했다.
