”The Original and Future of Architecture.” Fengxian Urban Museum, located on the east of “Jinhai Lake” in Fengxian District, was designed by the famous Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, integrating the natural advantages formed from “Jinhai Lake’s” rich green water system with the poetic conception “a lot of pearls that are falling onto the dish together” in traditional Chinese culture. Fengxian Urban Museum, which consists of Fengxian Resources Planning Exhibition Hall and Museum, records the development of Fengxian District, and it is an open exhibition space with unique charm and affinity. “Design with Lights” The exhibition hall exhibits the architectural features and the artistic conception “various pearls that are falling onto the dish together” as the exhibits are scattered in the three-floor exhibition museum just like pearls. Also, light and urban scenery are introduced into the exhibition layout, with natural lights coming from the intervals on the façade into the hall to contrast finely with the exhibits, thus reflecting the original intention of the urban planning – to create harmonious coexistence between human beings and nature.
