In June 2018, Raffles Europejski Warsaw opened its doors to a new chapter of an extraordinary history spanning more than 160 years. With its own high-end retail space, the hotel is located in the heart of the city, on the Royal Route, neighbouring the cobbled streets of the Old Town. Built in 1857 by Enrico Marconi, Hotel Europejski quickly became an important place on the map for the Polish capital’s social life, with its glamorous New Year’s Eve ball parties, immortalised on the pages of The Doll novel by Bolesław Prus.

One from the 19th century, but also create a showcase for the best of Polish modern and contemporary art. The 106 elegant guest rooms and suites are the largest in the city yet, with the 228 m2 Raffles Royal Suite. Interior design comes courtesy of the Warsawbased internationally acclaimed WWAA architecture studio with National Opera House stage designer Boris Kudlička and APA Wojciechowski team. “I am delighted to be opening the iconic Raffles Europejski Warsaw, such a landmark in this capital city, to which we will bring the legendary Raffles service, known for its benchmark standard across the globe, as well as a series of gastronomic delights, conference facilities and an impressive spa.”

Raffles Europejski Warsaw는 폴란드 구시가지의 자갈길과 인접한 길목에 위치해 있다. 1857년 Enrico Marconi에 의해 탄생한 Raffles Hotels & Resorts는 160년 이상의 역사를 가진 호텔 체인으로 19세기 유럽의 우아한 인테리어를 자랑한다. 도시의 심장부에 위치한 Raffles Europejski Warsaw는 폴란드 근현대 예술이 깃든 106개의 객실과 스위트룸을 갖췄다. 로열 스위트룸의 경우 228m2 규모로 지역에서 가장 큰 호텔 스위트룸으로 알려져 있으며 철저한 현지 기반의 디자인을 통해 전설의 도시 바르샤바의 랜드마크로 주목받고 있다.

Pavilion. 역사적인 건물의 중앙에는 북적이는 대도시에서 분리된 공간이 숨어있다. 호텔 안뜰에 위치한 파빌리온은 이곳만의 오아시스이자 낮이 긴 하절기부터 저녁의 여유를 즐길 수 있는 동절기까지 휴식을 취할 수 있는 장소다. 파빌리온 입구에는 매혹적인 정원의 분위기가 느껴지는 녹지 공간이 조성되어 있다. 햇살이 내리쬐는 오후의 휴식과 함께 맛있는 계절 칵테일을 맛볼 수 있고 엄선된 와인, 샴페인, 가벼운 애피타이저까지 즐길 수 있다.

Long Bar. The Long Bar, a signature of the Raffles brand since its inception at Raffles Singapore over a century ago, is recreated here in Warsaw in a long, sleek stretch of white Carrera marble, echoed by a white, circular marble fireplace nearby. The impressive tiled murals by Jarosław Fliciński proudly represents Polish artistry. Cocktails, as well as bespoke Europejski Chopin vodka, represents the world through Raffles classics such as the famous Singapore Sling and Warsaw’s own addition to the list, drawn on local flavours such as Polish quince and gingerbread liqueurs.

Humidor. This 16-seat lounge is a unique meeting place and sanctuary for cigar lovers and connoisseurs of single malts, brandies and Armagnac. Inspired by the greenery and flowers of Warsaw, the ceiling is covered with floral green wallpaper, creating an intimate ambience. A large mirror hangs over a cosy fireplace, which reflects its light on the green-tiled walls. The feeling is that of an exclusive gentleman’s club, where travellers from all over the world are immediately made welcome.

Heritage Suite. Heritage Suite는 폴란드 역사와 문화의 한 측면을 기리는 침실과 별도의 거실을 갖춘 방으로, 럭셔리의 정수를 담아냈다. 최첨단 시설과 현대적 디자인이 유연하게 어우러져 고객에게 잊지 못할 경험을 선사한다. 워크인 도서관과 대형 책상은 1920년대 폴란드 예술가들에게 영감을 받았다. 독서, 작업대는 물론 단순 휴식을 취할 수 있는 공간 등 다양한 용도로 사용된다. 넓고 세련된 욕실에서는 특별히 커스터마이즈된 인테리어가 눈에 띈다. 벽면은 바르샤바 천장의 대리석 콜라주로 장식했고 선반에는 유명한 프랑스 조향사 Blaise Mautin이 만든 제품이 진열되어 아늑함을 느낄 수 있다.

Signature Suite. 세련된 룸 스타일은 폴란드의 저명한 예술가들의 작품으로부터 영감을 받았다. 화려함의 본질을 포착한 방은 감각적인 조명과 인테리어로 갤러리에 온 듯한 착각을 일으킨다. 안방과 별도의 거실 모두 폴란드 역사와 현대를 접목한 시대 초월적인 디자인으로 구축됐으며, 실용적인 워크인 독서 공간은 물론 창 너머 바르샤바의 풍경을 감상할 수 있는 푹신한 소파와 티테이블이 마련됐다. 유니크한 타일로 짜인 욕실은 사용감이 뛰어난 넓은 공간을 자랑하며 필요한 위치마다 설치된 조명은 파우더룸으로서의 기능도 충족한다.

Raffles Royal Suite. Raffles Royal Suite는 228m2의 큰 방으로 쾌적함을 선사한다. 넓은 거실은 식사와 업무를 위한 공간을 별도로 구비하고 있으며 침실은 최상의 안락함을 선사하는 침대가 마련되었다. Raffles Royal Suite는 침실이 하나지만 두 개의 침실과 유기적으로 연결할 수 있어 호화로운 3인 스위트룸을 조성할 수 있다. 거실에 있는 작은 바 공간은 Raffles Royal Suite만의 독특한 느낌을 나타내며 넓은 욕실의 선반에는 조향사 Blaise Mautin이 특별히 Raffles Europejski Warsawa를 위해 만든 제품들이 있고 거실에는 호텔의 유럽 아트 컬렉션 예술작품 3점이 전시되어 있다.
