A new spin on the Greek beachside hotel, the property absorbs the best of the location’s bustle, while interjecting its own aura of peace amongst 12 pure suites. Istoria는 에게해(Aegean Sea)의 해변과 Perivolos 해변이 만나는 그리스 Santorini 섬의 호텔이다. 환상 속의 호텔이 현실이 된 곳이라 평가받는 Istoria의 외관은 아름다운 섬이 스스로 빚어낸 듯, 혹은 처음부터 이 섬의 일부였던 것처럼 자연스럽게 서 있다. 12개의 모든 객실이 스위트 타입으로 이루어져 있으며, 원목 가구와 전통 수공예품으로 내부 공간을 채워 현대의 감성적이고 세련된 여행자들을 위한 새로운 소셜 허브의 역할을 해내고 있다.

Far-removed from the area’s tourist-clogged sunset spots and yet deeply connected to its neighborhood, the hotel has carved a unique beach concept that allows guests to engage with the island’s activity from a calm sanctuary. Further ties to the area are forged via collaboration between the hotel, local shops, and designers for a unique Istoria boutique, while a series of activities orchestrated by local outlets and facilitated by the hotel are available to guests, such as horse-riding and biking.

호텔의 이름인 Istoria는 Story, 이야기라는 뜻을 가진 고대 그리스어 단어에서 가져왔다. Istoria는 그 이름처럼 아직 경험해보지 못한, 들어보지 못한 Santorini 섬의 새로운 이야기를 들려주고 있다. 화산이 만들어낸 검은 해변을 따라 말을 타고 달리는 경험은 어느 곳에서도 느껴보지 못한 감동의 순간이 될 것이다. Istoria의 인테리어 디자인을 맡은 Interior Design Laboratorium은 Santorini 섬의 전통적인 건축자재인 화산석을 활용하고, 인위적인 소재를 사용하거나 화려한 장식적 요소를 통해 치장하는 대신 주변에서 볼 수 있는 요소들을 적극적으로 끌어들여 소재 자체의 매력을 살리고자 했다. 덕분에 호텔에 머무는 여행자들은 조용하고 아름다운 섬마을에서 편안히 휴식을 취하는 듯한 경험을 할 수 있다.

Istoria derives its name from the Ancient Greek word for story, and its design, by Athens-based firm Interior Design Laboratorium, opens a new chapter in the island’s unique architectural narrative. Here, the simplicity of the spaces blends harmoniously with the island’s traditional building materials of volcanic stones and colored plaster and a few well-chosen pieces of wooden furniture and handcrafted textiles.

STORIA 이탈리아어로 Story(Istoria)를 뜻하는 Storia는 호텔의 3층에 위치하며 널찍한 침실에 킹사이즈 침대, 화려한 린넨 침구, 넓은 창문 등이 구비되어있다. 14평 넓이의 테라스에는 선베드와 실외 욕조가 갖춰져 있으며, 프라이버시를 강조한 공간에서 장엄한 지중해의 풍경을 오롯이 즐길 수도 있다.

CONTE 카탈로니아어로 Story(Istoria)를 뜻하는 Conte 스위트 타입은 킹사이즈 침대와 화려한 침구, 큰 창문이 인상적인 객실이다. 넉넉한 소파가 배치돼 여러 명이 머물기에도 적당하고 약 10평 정도의 널찍한 테라스에서는 선베드나 실외 욕조에서 지중해의 수평선을 바라보며 휴식을 취하기 좋다.

Conte means story (Istoria) in Catalan. Located on the hotel’s first floor, Conte Suite features a king-size bed with luxury linens, big windows, and more. An airy living area with a comfortable sofa can accommodate an extra guest. The spacious terrace is over 30 sq.m. and features an outdoor hot tub and sunbeds to relax and enjoy the spectacular sea view, whilst a second balcony with sitting area offers side sea view.

RAKONTO Rakonto는 에스페란토로 Story(Istoria)를 의미한다. 호텔의 3층에 위치한 Rakonto 스위트룸은 독립된 거실에 포근한 소파가 갖춰져 있다. 넓은 테라스에는 두 개의 선베드에 누워 내리쬐는 지중해의 햇살을 받으며 Perivolos 해안을 감상하기에 적합하다.

Rakonto means story (Istoria) in Esperanto. The Rakonto Suite is located on the hotel’s second floor. A separate living area with a comfortable sofa can accommodate an extra guest. Relax in the spacious terrace that features double sunbeds and enjoy the view to Perivolos beach, whilst a second balcony with sitting area, also offers views to the sea.

RECIT Recit 역시 Story(Istoria)를 뜻하는 프랑스어 단어에서 그 이름을 가져왔다. 호텔의 1층에 위치한 Recit 스위트룸은 12평 정도의 규모로, 역시 안락한 소파와 팔걸이 의자가 비치되어 있으며 야외 욕조가 테라스에 설치되어있다.

Recit means story (Istoria) in French. Recit Suites are located on the hotel’s ground floor. Entering the suite, the first sight is an impressive hall with water elements inspired by the stables that were housed in the ground floor of the building. The suites also include a sitting area with a comfortable sofa and armchair. An outdoor hot tub is located in each suite’s terrace, equipped with double sunbeds and sitting area.
