Tonglu Urban Planning Exhibition Center is quietly located by Fuchun River, a river full of legendary and closely related to local people’s life. Inspired by “writing brushes, ink sticks, paper and ink stones” and with the level-volume proportion originating from the “Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains”, the exhibition center creates an architectural form of spiritual beauty while striving to be hidden in the natural base environment to the greatest extent. With the respect to the natural and humanistic texture of Tonglu, the designer continues to show the venue meaning of the exhibition center and seek the spatial nature that can connect the clear spiritual world.

Tonglu is clearly positioned as “China’s Modern Medium-Sized City with the Most Beautiful Landscape” in this development. All the beauty of the city, landscape and humanities is strongly internalized in the city, which is like a secret channel that finds the form language demonstrating the design and also requires a delicate balance of art creation. In this design, the “sum of nature” concept is proposed with respect for architecture’s “all-open” characteristics, and the “three sublimity” creation technique is used to create experience of the new concept taking the entire Chinese pavilion into the scene.
